• Get a letter from someone who knows you well and can say who you are and how old you are. This could be someone like your community leader, a teacher, or a church pastor.

• If You’re Married: Bring your marriage certificate.

• If you’re divorced: Bring the divorce papers.

• Where You Live:  Provide proof of residence, like any bill that shows your address.

• If you are getting money from any source, you must show that to Sassa.
• You should also show how much your things (like your house) are worth.
• If you get money from a pension, bring proof of that.
• Your bank statements from the last three months.

• You shouldn’t make more than R86,280 a year if you’re single. You and your partner shouldn’t make more than R172,560 a year if you’re married.
• If you’re single, your things shouldn’t be worth more than R1,227,600. If you’re married, the things you and your partner own together shouldn’t be worth more than R2,455,200.
